Taking advantage of the warm January temperature, I ran a light recovery run this morning. Is it a recovery run if it’s two days after a race? Either way I ran. At 31 degrees, it was not as warm as Saturday but I’ve run many January training runs in much colder conditions.
I layered lightly, knowing I’d warm up once I got going and ran a steady pace down Midland Parkway through Jamaica Estates passing St. John’s University on Utopia Parkway on my way back home—one my local 3 plus mile loops. It was great to get out for one of my favorite things, the morning run.
