After yesterday’s 10K race in Central Park I wanted something light and easy. Esther and I made plans to meet with friends today. We had errands to run so I figured a recovery run would be out — it will wait until tomorrow. However wanting to complete some form of activity, we took Chico for a 1.5 mile walk lasting about 40 minutes. Although not as warm as yesterday, it was a warm January morning and we took advantage of it.
The beauty of the 30 Minute Club is its simplicity. It only takes 30 minutes a day and it can be any activity so long as it’s non-stop motion. If the weather is warm, like we’ve had for the past few days, do something outside. Too cold for you, take it inside. You don’t have to be a finely trained athlete to do this — I’m not—if I can do this anyone can do this. How hard is it to find 30 minutes in your day? Just 30 minutes a day for 100 straight days, I’m already at Day 8. Who’s with me?
